Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolets Already Out – More to Follow This Year!

by admin on 2009/10/15

Audi launched its A5 Cabriolet model in early days of 2009 that replaced the previous A4 models. The official declaration was made on December 3, 2008, regarding the release of 2009 A5 and S5 Cabriolets. In this model, the Coupe engines were included with a 2.7 L TDI option. The V6 engines were used in the 3.0 L by raising the power level to 328 hp.

After that the S5 model was introduced in 2008 with its 4.2 L Fuel Stratified Injection V8 engine that produced a power up to 349 hp at a rotation of 6800 rpm. It was featured with Bi-Xenon head lamps that enhanced the performance by providing day time running lights. Some of the other features included in this model were heated leather sport seats, bigger brakes and 19” alloy wheels, from which some optional facilities were included on the standard A5 model.

The upcoming model of Audi S5 Cabriolet will be introduced at the beginning of 2010, which can be revealed from the higher authorities of the company. It is also expected that the RS5 model will be launched in the US market, which is reported by the motor Trend. It is also expected that the car will be a modified version of B7 RS4 with a power transmission up to 450 hp. However, Audi provides its trademark “overhung” engines to it cars, which is admired by the other car engine makers. In the American automobile market, Audi made an announcement to add an extra feature named as S-tronic transmission for the first time in 2009, and probably cars with this special transmission will be seen in the market some time next year.
