BMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke. This German outfit opened its doors back in 1916 manufacturing parts and engines for motor vehicles during Germany's rapid industrialization. Initially BMW speciallized in aircraft manufacture and churned impressive products in the line. But after the two world wars, international treaties banned BMW from aircraft manufacture and the company transitioned to motorcars.

The dash is a futuristic yet friendly combination of breathtaking technology and wood paneling. This can also be customized to fit the order. The radio sound system is manufactured by the legendary music maker Bose. The surround-sound speakers generate orchestra-quality sound in perfect digital quality. Bose/BMW has also partnered with Sirius and XM Radio to offer satelite channels on the Series 1.
